Yeah, but only because I built a desktop in 2010, spent $1100 and didn't have to put a penny more into it until last year. And that was because I wanted to upgrade, not because I had to. I had a Dell laptop survive 8 years without paying for anything. It really annoys me that the laptop died for no reason overnight after an OS upgrade and Apple couldn't even come up with an explanation or attempt to fix it. I've done some Googling recently because this was in my mind again and apparently Catalina bricked a lot of laptops but I can't seem to find any acknowledgment from Apple on that.
