There is much less cause now for Yang to reject any Microsoft bid. But with the state of the economy, perhaps there's less incentive for MS to make a bid now anyway while it bears up to a less than ideal economy. Along with my speculation that Google would eventually lose the antritrust litigation anyhow if the deal went ahead, the company has determined it safe or sensible to abort.
