The article writer acknowledges the stupid, the preening, and the greedy ones, but they are blind to an important fourth group: the bored or curious or depressed ones who hope that unleashing superhuman machine cognition will be funny, enlightening, interesting, or that it will make the news more exciting and the memes more spicy at least for a while.
