Then those pieces of software probably should be excluded from your candidates for what to run on your machine. For example, GIMP, LibreOffice, VLC, Blender, Audacity, Kdenlive, XnView MP, OBS, PeaZip, Thunderbird and others have very little in the way of the issues you've mentioned. That's not to say that they'll always be the most capable options out there, but for most folks they'll be entirely sufficient.
