I am pretty sure we already have e-bikes. There are many different reasons people don't use them though. Safety and theft would be my two, which I don't know

I am pretty sure we already have e-bikes. There are many different reasons people don't use them though. Safety and theft would be my two, which I don't know if statistically are issues but my mind says riding an ebike at 10+ mph and having an accident will be an issue and that accident will be more likely since it will be ridden on the road with cars that cannot see well in the rain. And theft seems to be an issue in my area at least from the biking experience my friends have had. They cannot go anywhere without being a target of bike theft.
