I disagree. In oral usage, when you control for potency, particularly with regard to the stereoisomer composition, amphetamine and methamphetamine are FAR closer in effect (and "side effects") than historically people have claimed. Pointing to the methyl group is completely missing the point; I am not talking about the absolute chemistry, but the pharmacology.
