Why? Someone's actions, or lack thereof, do not necessarily mean that their points are invalid. It does allow you to create a moral judgment of them, but that does not mean that they can not make a poignant criticism of a political and social situation that they've been living under. Disregarding the commentary because of the actions of the commenter doesn't make much sense to me, at least not in this particular situation.
