I have been a team lead for 5 years. Problem solving has always been my talent and passion. I love to take advantage of opportunities at work to learn, improve and develop products. For example, I was never an embedded engineer but I took the opportunity to write the bluetooth pairing APIs for VIZIO’s first voice remote control. I once spent a week (a slow week during the holidays) root causing a deadlock bug on a TV with only a debug cable to make changes (ssh came later). I helped build and support highly available and eventual consistent pub/sub apps in 2015 to 2017, before Designing Data Intensive Applications book was available. I love CI/CD and the benefits it gives, and I even designed a setup from scratch after working in a department that had very high maturity level of build and test automation.
