Retailers Tackle Cardboard Overload with Made-to-Fit Boxes
- 1970-01-01 4y agoI emailed this and another idea to jeff@amazon.com in 2017. The reply came 3 weeks later and consisted entirely of boilerplate 'thank you' followed by corporate fluff. My other idea was to allow the buyer to customize the shipping box's dimensions (at a slight increase in price) to allow them to reuse it. Whenever you need a certain size cardboard box, you just get it delivered as your next order.
