In many cases they just need support, guidance or an opportunity to learn. It's highly likely that everyone initially joins the company with positive intentions. However, exposure to cynicism and witch-hunting, such as labeling someone a "-10x engineer," can lead some people to become disillusioned and potentially adopt harmful behaviors intentionally. This can create a vicious cycle indeed.
