I just bought a slightly used ICE car. Electric still doesn't seem reliable (or affordable) enough for me
- simonblack 3y agoUntil an electric car can be charged as quickly as an ICE car can be refuelled, until there are as many EV charging stations as there are petrol/gas pumps, and until an electric car can go as far on a charge as an ICE car can go on a full tank, I'm not interested.
- IcePic 3y agoThis goes the other way too: "Unless my ICE car refuels itself at night so I start every day with a fully gassed up car I'm not interested" Btw, Sweden has almost 2x the amount of charging stations than petrol stations now. Was at 1:1 two years ago. The theoretical distance is not relevant after you have owned an EV for a while. Not saying there doesn't exist outliers, but few people drive 500-600 km without needing bathroom breaks or eat, especially if you have your family in the car.
