Software engineers suffer from Dunning-Kruger – do you too?
- austin-cheney 4y agoOne way to know yourself, as a software engineer, is to write your own software. If you believe yourself to be awesome prove how awesome you are by showing people something awesome you have written. Perhaps the most clear indication of Dunning-Kruger is when talking about performance. Everybody thinks the software they write is super duper fast, but few people actually measure things with numbers. When I hear people talk about fast the very thing to pop into my mind is: How fast?
