Maybe HN spoiled me, but the information density is way too low. By default I see 6 headlines, zoomed out to 50% I see 9 headlines. Compared with HN where I can see ~23 stories with the default zoom level.
You could probably re-evaluate if the article images are adding actual value to the listing. And if they don't, maybe it makes more sense to have it in a list format.
I guess what I really want after-all is a website like HN (like, identical) but catered to the AI community instead of general hackers community.

You've given us a great idea - we'll work on adding two viewing modes: a list view and a card view, so users can choose their preferred style.
