Followup on job applications from the previous week where you haven't heard back. Focus on a side-project: If you are interested in AI, you may try to learn some of the frameworks, review open source projects and perhaps contribute to them in terms of code/documentation/issues/Pull requests etc., Meet different people and build a (real) network. See if there are projects you could work on for them that helps you learn and build experience. Talk about all of this in your job interviews. Good luck.
