Switzerland has the same or even more guns then USA per capita and they don't have these problems.
So the author destroys his entire argument in the 1st two lines.
- superb-owl 4y agoI'd encourage you to read further. Switzerland is an exception to the rule https://twitter.com/SteveRattner/status/1640733289722920963 https://twitter.com/SteveRattner/status/1640733289722920963
- taeric 4y agoPredominant does not require sole. And, I hazard a guess that the regulations around guns are... different. To say the least. Just scanning their regulations listed on Wikipedia, it is a very different thing than seen in the US. Such that your comment is clearly bad faith.
- legitster 4y agoUhhh, what's your source? There is about 1/5 the number of guns per capita in Switzerland as in the US: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_guns_per_capita_by_country https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estimated_number_of_civilian_g... Also, keep in mind to the author's point Swiss gun ownership is heavily skewed towards rifles and long guns. Pistols are much harder to get ahold of in Switzerland.
