Imagine a universe simulated under homeomorphic encryption. Where initially you have no control over the simulated universe, and have no idea what's under the encryption, but you somehow the universe is big enough that if you wait long enough, life evolves inside the encryption. Then all you have to do to break the encryption is to convince the simulated life within the encryption to prepare a special patch of space, with just what you wanted. They proceed to do so, breaking the homeomorphic encryption for you. Then you just discard their world.
