- breput 4y agoAre the banks not totally to blame here? Sure, there are primarily online/sketchy banks that are offering introductory savings account rates that are comparable to a decent money market fund's returns. But your Bank of Americas or your Wells Fargos or your First National Bank of South Cackalacky have been happy offering tenths of a percent interest for several years. You'd have to be lazy, very paranoid, or a fool to leave significant money in a bank's savings account.
