Would be cool if video games could be run inside containers or sandboxes where they ship with the dependencies they need.
Don't know how many times Steam has reinstalled my C++ library or whatever else it does when it prepares a game for launch.
Not to mention games have unrestricted access to my filesystem, which isn't ideal
- waboremo 4y agoThis is technically a thing already on Windows. Games can run within UWP containers and they have everything they need to go and have far less universal access. But from what I've heard it's not fun to deal with and Steam will never support it.
