- crazygringo 4y agoThings like TV shows and movies and music are precisely where people people tend to consume the stuff they actually like, regardless of what is being "pushed". Word of mouth from friends travels fast. I can't think of any industry that is more merit-driven than entertainment, and never more so than today -- both in terms of creation and distribution. A good movie is a good movie period. No amount of advertising and promotion can make people go watch a flop.
