I used to run Teams reports on our employees to figure out how much $$$ was going into meetings. I found that some of the least productive employees spent 60-80% of their time in meetings (high Teams usage), and I suspect it wasn't because of the meetings that they were not productive, but that they had a lot of meetings because they were not able to be productive: it made them feel good.
