That’s not a conservative take per se, meritocracy was a notion whose popularity came directly from the Enlightenment.
- cptskippy 4y agoNo one said that it was a creation of conservatives, just that it was a belief. People's beliefs are usually impressed upon them by externalities like the community that raised them or traumas they endured.
