In many jurisdictions violating copyright is a felony, it is prosecuted viciously with fines up to 100k$ per infringement and jail time and in the civil courts with extraordinary damages. How can Prusa go forward with that? I don't know. I know though from a handful of interactions with them that they acknowledge the catalytic role open-source software and hardware can have.
