While we’re recommending D&D media, I’m really enjoying Worlds Beyond Number. It just started last month with three episodes so far (every other Tuesday), available wherever you get your podcasts.
Website is a bit out of date with the podcast having started, still reads as prerelease marketing but you get the idea: https://worldsbeyondnumber.com/ https://worldsbeyondnumber.com/
- Semaphor 4y agoAlas, I have no interest in podcasts. TV shows or text are 99% of what I accept as possible consumption media.
- wlesieutre 4y agoYou’re missing out! It’s better storytelling than most TV. And I think I’d include the Vox Machina show in that, though it’s little early to say. For anyone who wants to check it out without the commitment of looking it up in your podcast app, episodes are on the web here: https://worlds-beyond-number.simplecast.com/episodes https://worlds-beyond-number.simplecast.com/episodes
- Semaphor 4y agoBut tv has a reason not to be text. As soon as it's a podcast, I'd be annoyed that it's not being a book.
- wlesieutre 4y agoThe performers play their characters better than you would read it, not to mention the rest of the audio production
- Semaphor 4y agoYou make a lot of assumptions about me. No one can play their role better than I can read it. I have aphantasia, so tv offers something over books, mainly how things and people look. Plays don't.
