somehow non-americans are supposed to feel outraged about this news and at the same time rejoice how huawei has been blacklisted across the western nations without any substantial proof, the only reason being that they are a chinese company.
Same for siding with ban on tiktok because "chinese govt" while rejoicing permissions granted to facebook and google to do the same data collection which can be accessed by american govt at their whim because it would be in everyone's interests, right?
- genmud 4y agoI mean, cool? If micron is doing sketchy shit, let’s call it out as well. It is well established CN companies and the government have a very different relationship compared to their western counterparts. As someone who lives in a western country, it would be silly to think that the CCP is more aligned with my interests that western governments. Just because they do bad stuff, doesn’t mean my interests aren’t aligned closer than a foreign adversary.
