People are worried about: 1) Job losses, which is a real concern, except for LeCun, who is safe or rich enough. 2) Some fools connecting a war game AI to real hardware, which is quite possible. Other than that, I don't see "doomism" at all. I see outrage at the IP theft that exploits altruistic humans who posted their works on the Internet.
