Ask HN: Twitter's The Algorithm release has anything to do with April Fools day?
The more I see about Twitter's Algorithm, I can't stop thinking if Elon is actually trolling people by releasing it.
- tough 4y agoSomeone already leaked the full source code in github a few days back.... Maybe they were forced into it? Like everything with this twitter play from buy to OS
- WallyFunk 4y agoDon't require a special observance like April Fools to question the validity of online content. Do that all the time.
- danuker 4y agoIndeed. The only way to know whether something is true is to integrate it with your experience and/or experiment some more if needed. BUT some content is designed to induce you to do that. Consider whether the source of the content has an incentive of making you waste time engaging with them (i.e. governments distracting you from real issues, or content farms publishing something wrong on purpose).
