What are the platforms that you use to update yourself on technical topics? How do you filter out bad advice from good ones? When I say technical (I include soft skills in it)

Usually, I just dive in, and seek out information as I need it with google, etc. I've repaired Cesium Beam Atomic clocks, 1940 vintage transmitters, 1960s vintage industrial motor controllers (480v, 200A, 3 phase), computers, etc. I've built things from scratch. I've asked for help here a few times when I got stumped. Filtering out bad advice is easy, it fails to yield positive results.

How do you get your hands on atomic clocks?

eBay has them all the time. The are usually listed as "tested, works", which usually means all the parts are at least included, and repair is possible. 8)

Simple - figure out who reputable field leaders are, subscribe to their email newsletters. No junk, minimal distraction, can lead to 1-1 relationship very quickly...
