You are arguing that your standard of living would increase by living in a slum because you would have more purchasing power? What? I think you much overlook how great it is to have (somewhat) functional law enforcement, infrastructure, and access to goods and services and healthcare. This is what makes us rich, not the ability to buy cheap things.
