Sounds like a hardware problem to me. I've been daily driving Fedora and Ubuntu Linux for around 20 years now and it's been getting progressively better and more stable. The last 5 years or so I no longer even bother installing Windows on my PC's. Buying a Mac will certainly solve any hardware issue you're currently experiencing. But so would buying a new PC. Mac's have their own issues, as does Windows and BSD. It's a pick-your-poison situation.
