NeverSSL
- accrual 4y agoInteresting. It seems like the purpose is to have an easy to remember domain (neverssl.com) which will always reply in plain HTTP so any local captive portal can hijack your connection and give you the opportunity to login with your room number, etc. In my experience, captive portals usually hijack DNS instead and send you straight to the portal, so I don't think I've ever personally needed something like this.
- IcePic 4y agoI have, free wifi on a ferry that would not "work" for https sites.
