I'm currently doing this course and it's awesome but it's not explicitly clear from the website why it's awesome. It's because there is no boring structured material to go through. Once the course starts, you are part of a team which has a singular objective: build an ML recommendation system from the ground up and get the best score. The score is real-time, visible in a public Grafana dashboard for all teams, along with the throughput of each team's system. So the challenge is to have great recommendations for your hundreds of thousands simulated users (and 100% uptime while receiving millions of requests per day) across 6 weeks while iteratively improving your ML model! How fun is that?
