I think we've had online tax-filing for perhaps 15-20 years here in Denmark. We log in with our digital signatures, report what income has not already been reported by employer and bank, and claim the deductions that have not already been granted automatically. I won't say it's that easy, and often the system can't be accessed on the day they open up for filing last year's taxes, but at least it's not pen and paper anymore.
