As someone who needs to be 1x a month in Paris for a week I can confirm that I was hugely impressed. On red lights you sometimes see so many bikes (congestion) that you can’t even see where it ends. On streets like near the louvre/palais royale the quietness was beautiful instead of the highway-feeling it used to be. However one element my coworkers tell me is that typically Parisien houses (old houses) have no parking space for bikes. So even if one of the assistant would want to come by bike she can’t park it a home. Streetparking will result in theft or demolition. So the problem is not solves by only reworking the steets.
