Norman Ramsey's answer to an SO qn of mine is interesting http://stackoverflow.com/a/2102399/222815 Roberto provided a ref to the way Lua implements closures, which is certainly innovative. One things I like about Lua is that it's TCB is small. This matters when you are embedding code.
