How JRR Tolkien Came to Write the Stories of 'The Rings of Power' (2022)
- rcarr 4y agoTolkien didn’t write any of the stories of “The Rings of Power”. That work was done by either screenwriters with zero respect for the underlying source material or an early OpenAI prototype. Based on the quality of the output, it is difficult to tell the difference. Although I feel this comment is probably being harsh to the AI who no doubt doesn’t want to be associated with such garbage.
- Festro 4y agoI hate this new PR angle the RoP shills working for Amazon are taking. Spreading as much misleading info about Tolkien + RoP as possible. The man is dead. The man never wrote RoP. He wrote notes and related stories that Amazon have turned into a TV series. That's it, nothing more. There's no need to try to legitimise RoP like this. We all know it's cobbled together threads of plot that Tolkien never wrote about in great detail. Please just focus on making season 2 better Amazon. Not spreading crap about the legitimacy of your show to sites like the Smithsonian. Yes, we can tell that you commissioned this piece.
