I would really like to hear from the kids about why this is happening. Any explanation from anyone other than them is just conjecture. We won’t understand this

  While not a bad impetus, young people tend to be talented at identifying the proximate cause but may not have any idea what the root cause is. It can take time to get the full picture, even for people directly involved.

  My sense is that the use of drugs by teens occurs mainly due to: - ease of availability - teens being too trusting of other teens - teens having too much time on their hands and not enough vision of the long term Parents have a lot to do with this, naturally, but of course some of these teens have only one parent, and others have two working parents, and there's only so many hours in the day.

  Well drugs feel really fucking good, and living as a teenager these days does not.
