Rustls TLS Library 0.21.0 Released with New Features
- Animats 4y agoGood. Meanwhile, I've received two new security advisories for OpenSSL in the last week.
- jjgreen 4y agoI seriously clicked the link expecting to find a Rust reimplementation of "ls"
- tmpz22 4y agoThat should be called ripls just like ripgrep
- throwaway894345 4y agoI thought it was going to be another language server for Rust. What's even sadder is that I knew about the rustls project already and my brain still went to "language server".
- jaas 4y agoI edited the title to note that it is a TLS library. Apologies for any confusion!
- jaas 4y agoThere is a C API for anyone who wants to use Rustls from C: https://github.com/rustls/rustls-ffi/ https://github.com/rustls/rustls-ffi/
- eloff 4y agoI’m a big fan of this library, using it at work and on my own stuff. It’s faster, leaner, and most importantly, safer than OpenSSL for a reasonable definition of safety. It gets less eyeballs and use than OpenSSL, but also fewer issues and rust itself protects against memory safety issues. The project is well run and there’s a non profit behind it.
