Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. How do we train up the next generation of SWEs given the new world we live in?

- hyperhopper 4y agoI'm hoping the AI scare and layoffs stop people from flocking to software engineering. Less supply of us means more demand, higher wages, better working conditions. Especially with how things are going, the last thing we want is a new generation of swes to compete with the dwindling amount of jobs.
- mrbombastic 4y agoI would think whatever we consider today as mid-level would become the expectation for entry-level. It would be nice if we had a culture of apprenticeship in our industry though.
