How did they fail? Price war with BOE and other Chinese manufacturers? Management by Baka?

  I believe they had yield issues, and the market for high-priced desktop monitors (~$3000 for 27" 4K) is limited. They may have fared a little better if they had served the Apple Mac 5K resolution; but maybe not.

    With 3000 dollars I can buy a 77 inch OLED TV from LG. I guess computer or commercial displays have higher price but yes, no wonder why they failed.

      Economies of scale. There's a reason why OLED manufacturers are concentrating on smartphone and TV sized panels.
