Cars have no place in a sustainable future.
Independently from their source of power, a society built on cars as the primary mean of transportation is unsustainable and will always be.
We don't need to invest trilions in transitioning fuel engines to EV. We need to invest them in rebuilding our cities and suburbs to be walkable and to minimize the need for travels.
- marbartolome 4y agoI'm surprised nobody else echoes this argument, is the US really that car dependant? I think micromobilty and improvements in transportation on demand would really reduce the need for car ownership. Already in big cities with good public transport cars don't make much sense anymore, but I believe suburbs will follow.
