Are browsers that don't use Webkit as an engine (just their own skin on top of it) allowed on MacOS? Or is that just iOS?
- senttoschool 4y agoYes. macOS is an open platform. You can install whatever you want.
- eis 4y agoYes, MacOS never had similar limitations as on iOS. I'm using Firefox which uses its own renderer as a daily on my Mac. There are signs that iOS will (be forced to?) drop that restriction as well in the future. Google started working on a Blink based Chrome for iOS.
- top_sigrid 4y agoYes they are, what you are talking about is only happening in iOS.
