The only thing I can think of that's even close is that Augustín gets stung by some bees in the opening and then again later as a callback, which is mostly just so we can see that Julieta can heal people. Bruno is maybe shown to be cowardly but then he risks his life multiple times to save other characters and rushes to take the blame for something that's not his fault to protect Mirabel. Other than that I'm at a complete loss.
