One of the weirdest communities ive ever seen
It feels like a community of people who try to brute force or hack themselves into MAAMA companies instead of computer enthusiasts
- Firmwarrior 4y agoThat place is a disaster zone. The hyperdemocratic nature of Reddit is usually cool, but in this case it results in Reddit's dummy hive mind squelching a lot of useful advice and promoting a really weird outlook
- konart 4y ago>It feels like a community of people who try to brute force or hack themselves into MAAMA companies instead of computer enthusiasts Well, it's not 90s or 2000s anymore. For many people all this IT stuff is just a weird but well paying place. You'd be amazed by the number of IT "schools" and all kinds of online courses in Russia (for example, I don't thing the coutry is unique here) that promise you an IT job.
- jstx1 4y agoIt's not meant to be a place for computer enthusiasts - it's a career subreddit and people want to get good jobs.
