This is true, but it also ignores the economic reality: your employer wants to get things done, but money is their constraint more than time. If they can replace you, they are obligated to do so.
This is a nice idea, but in economic reality, you won’t be getting anything done if your boss lets you go.
- meghan_rain 4y ago"Boss" always means "somebody like me from the same industry that is just more entrepreneurial and risk-accepting than me, who prefers a safe job". Become a boss, literally. Yes, I know, some industries are entrenched with old interests and gatekeeping. Then don't become a boss at building gas stations or housing or whatever. There are new, far more lucrative opportunities coming up.
