I'm reluctant to start using LLM-based coding assistants (e.g. Copilot) in my programming work because I don't want to taint my code with laundered code that was under a copyleft or other restrictive license. Is this a reasonable concern?
- johnfn 4y agoIn short, no. Once you try out the tool you’ll understand this concern never made much sense to begin with for normal usage patterns. Copilot primarily excels in writing very short snippets, far too short to be under copyleft.
