It's really feeling like AI is the new crypto. Majority of the people hyping up AI are directly benefited from the raise in AI. The same way the people that were hyping up crypto either ran blockchain, dapp, or were VC invested into it.
I don't know the writer of this blog post, but I'm willing to bet he has posts about how crypto will replace the financial system.

- the_only_law 4y agoTbh this makes me much more wary about all these AI claims. Wasn’t too long ago when people were clamoring about how their latest favorite technology, blockchain was going to magically come in and solve every problem since the dawn of society.
- lolinder 4y agoAgreed. It's always possible that this is a "a stopped clock is right twice a day" situation—that by hopping on every bandwagon the hype artists eventually land on something that happens to work out—but in general I find it likely that this blows over to a degree.
