I wonder what size hand is needed for this technique?
I'm typing this on an 1980s keyboard that was originally created with the control key on the home row (and yes, the Enter key is labelled as Return too). It's a lot easier to Ctrl-C if I can just slide my hand slightly to the left with a slight turn to the right. The technique being described using the palm involves a lot more contortion.
Also, the use case needs to be considered. I am not a vi user, but if I was, it would make a huge difference in ergonomics and comfort to have the control key on the home row. vi was created with that layout in mind.
I like that the caps lock key is small and tucked away in the corner. How often do I need to type in all-caps for an extended period? I HAVE NOW ACTIVATED THE SWITCH USING MY PINKY FINGER STOP IT IS HAMMER TIME STOP
