I agree that it is complexity that is the enemy. It's not all about being a minimalist though. The issue is in work, there are many things already decided by other people, you are just the cog in the machine making choices in your own lane, after work, in your own life, you are responsible for everything and you have to decide, those decisions are complex and energy draining and you have to make them constantly, your time is limited, so you can only choose to do a few things, but how do you know what is best and even worse you usually always don't estimate the time that is required at all.
