Paul Krugman famously said in 1998 that "the growth of the growth of the Internet will slow drastically [...] the Internet’s impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine’s" I am going to go out on a limb and say unless headsets change profoundly they will have limited impact on most people's daily lives.
