My family has received multiple radiology procedures including x-ray, MRI, and ultrasound from private radiology businesses (I.e. not the hospital). They are typically 10x give or take less expensive. Last MRI was $600. Doesn't help if you are stuck in the hospital. But, it's an option otherwise.
